Daniel Xu is a senior at Newbury Park High School, and serves as the treasurer and social media chair of the Conejo Valley Student Commission. He introduced the idea for English immersion classes taught by high school students (American 101), and plans to create a newsletter by collaborating with several other CVSC members to introduce the commission to more youth in the community. Apart from his role as the treasurer and social media chair, Daniel serves on the board for several school clubs, including Film and Editing Club, Aerospace and Engineering Club, the Chinese Culture Club, and the Technology Student Association. Through his position in the CVSC, he hopes to attract more youth to participate and play a bigger role in their areas.
