Dr. Sun is passionate about youths’ education and is devoted to bringing families and communities together to make them closer, strong, and more vibrant. Her son Benjamin Yang was the pioneer Chair of the Student Commission Program, serving from 2016 to 2017. Dr. Sun lived in Thousand Oaks with her husband, Dr. Yang, and worked as a Director at Bank of America, leading a research team of quantitative analysts. In 2023, they moved to Virginia. She holds a Ph.D. in Biophysics from McGill University, Canada.
