Dr. Yali Chen is one of three Founders and the Treasurer of the Lead with Purpose Foundation. Dr. Chen is actively involved in the community, serving as a volunteer for a number of community and school organizations and sharing her love of math and science mentoring students. Her passion is promoting cultural exchange, and she has organized numerous community events and activities aimed at increasing cultural awareness and understanding. She especially enjoys sharing her love of Chinese folk dance, acting as a producer for a number of community productions. Dr. Chen resides in Newbury Park with her husband, Dr. Hao Chen, and two sons. She holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
