Katelin Zhou is a Junior at Westlake High School and the 2018-2019 Conejo Valley Student Commission President. She has been involved with the Conejo Valley Student Commission since her freshman year, and is ecstatic to have served as the CVSC Secretary during her junior year. During her tenure in this organization, Katelin pioneered the Think Tank Talk program, which is dedicated to giving students a platform to voice their opinions on current events and helping students refine their public speaking skills.In addition, she also worked with a group of her peers in order to conduct a series of Voter Registration Drives during the November 2016 elections. Outside of the Conejo Valley Student Commission, Katelin is involved with Junior State of America, where she serves as the club’s Chapter President at Westlake High School and the Channel Islands Region Mayor on State Cabinet. Outside of JSA, she is involved with Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Future Business Leaders of America, Junior Blind of America, and enjoys water polo and cello. Katelin is passionate about making an impact on her community and she is excited to be able to accomplish this goal through her involvement with the CVSC.
