Leonard Zhu is a senior at Newbury Park High School and serves as co-president. This year will be his fourth and final year with the Lead with Purpose Foundation. Leonard has seen firsthand what the commission is able to do and its ability to harness the talents and ideas of each and every member, and bolster each student’s character. Leonard has grown into a leader, speaker, and communicator throughout his years with the commission, and has big aspirations for it this year. Aside from the student commission, Leonard also serves a large role within the Super Joey Foundation. At school, he is the publicist for the NPHS Science Olympiad team and co-founder of his school’s Model United Nations team. He is also a chair for its Ping Pong Club. Leonard is active in both his school varsity volleyball team and club volleyball. He also plays bassoon, where he saw success during his junior year, being principal in both his school and county band, and even selected to be in the California All-State Symphony Orchestra. He also enjoys producing music as a side hobby. He is ecstatic to share his growth and experience, along with helping guide members of the Foundation toward their future goals.
