Lorena Tan is a junior at Oak Park High School and has been in the Lead with Purpose Foundation (LWPF) since ninth grade. With the LWPF, Lorena has taught English to adults and young students through the English Enhancement Program. She has also critiqued reading articles for these classes as a content facilitator and curator. She truly enjoys sharing her knowledge and is passionate about language, as well as dedicated to teaching. At school, Lorena is a diligent student with a positive attitude, consistently earning straight A’s and holding leadership roles, including co-president, secretary, publicist, and treasurer, for various clubs. She plays piano, violin, and tennis and enjoys creating art in her spare time. She shares her music by entertaining seniors at retirement homes. She is the leader of the Chinese school’s senior group, which designs fun events for senior citizens. Through the LWPF, she aims to develop her leadership skills and make a positive impact on people’s lives.
