Lorena Tan is a sophomore at Oak Park High School and has been in the Lead With Purpose Foundation (LWPF) since ninth grade. With the foundation, Lorena has taught English to adults and young students through the English Enhancement Program. She has also researched and provided articles for these classes as a content facilitator. She really enjoys sharing her knowledge and joy for language, and is passionate about teaching. Outside of the LWPF, Lorena is a hardworking student with a positive attitude and straight-A’s. At school, she holds leadership roles including being co-president, secretary, publicist, and treasurer for various clubs. She plays piano, violin, and tennis and enjoys making art in her free time. She shares her love for music by performing at senior homes. She is also the leader for her Chinese school’s senior group, which organizes fun events for senior citizens. Through LWPF, she hopes to develop her leadership skills and make a difference in people’s lives.
