May Li is a senior at Westlake High School and the current 2019-2020 president of the Lead with Purpose Foundation Student Commission. She has been a part of the Commission since her freshman year, and has been involved in activities such as Think Tank Talk, leading Student Commission meetings, the Hand-in-Hand Oxnard outreach, and the Bridging the Gap Learning Club. May has a passion for science and medicine, so outside of the Student Commission she acts as a volunteer for the Westminster Free Clinic, a tutor at her school’s science center, and the founder and president of her school’s Health Careers of America club. Aside from science and medicine, May also has an interest in music; she has played piano since she was five, viola since she was ten, and is currently part of Westlake HS’s chamber orchestra, serving on the Orchestra Student Council as president. May is excited to take on this role in the Student Commission and make a lasting impact in her community.
