Michelle Chen is a graduate of Oak Park High School. She was recruited into the Student Commission itsfirst year, and has since served as both Secretary (2015-2016) and Vice Chair (2017-2018) throughoutthe years. She currently attends Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, as an environmental science major. Within the confines of Oak Park, Michelle was the team captain of her school's Mock Trialprogram; an editor for its student-run newspaper; and a liaison of sorts for the Super Joey Foundation, for which she also served as Chair of the Youth Volunteer Committee — among other things. She champions many progressive, environmentalist causes; but in her free time, sequestered from impassioned opinion writing and public speaking, she enjoys supporting small businesses through long-winded Yelp reviews, and entertaining thoughts of one day owning five cats.
